All about the Italian castle where Courtney Kardashian and Travis Barker will have their wedding ceremony

After a "sports wedding" in Vegas in April and a formal ceremony in Santa Barbara earlier this month, the 43-year-old Kardashian star and 46-year-old drummer said "yes, I would" again in Italy. The couple chose Castello Brown, a 16th-century castle in the seaside town of Portofino, as the ceremony location.

Located on the coast of northern Italy, southeast of the city of Genoa, Portofino is undoubtedly the perfect wedding venue. This castle offers stunning views of Portofino Bay and the Mediterranean Sea and is also rich in history.

According to the site's website, Castello Brown is a military fortress built-in 1425. In the 18th century, the castle fell under French rule, and Napoleon Bonaparte even guarded the structure with his troops to repel passing English ships... The court takes its name from the English consul Montague Yates Brown, who turned it into a private residence in the nineteenth century. The Municipality of Portofino has owned it since 1961.

Today, the Castello is a private event space that can be rented for weddings and other gatherings, art exhibitions and culinary events-according to the Prices page on their website, renting a castle for a day between April and September costs between €3,500 and €5,000 (about US$3,700 to US$5,300) depending on the day of the week. Italy is a favorite vacation spot for celebrities, including the Kardashian-Jenners. Last summer, Courtney and Travis visited the country, stopped in Venice, and set sail.

On the posh island of Capri, about 400 miles south, the famous family regularly runs in the summer. In July 2021, Chris Jenner boarded his daughter Kylie Jenner's plane to visit the beautiful island with his girlfriend Corey Gamble, fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife, Dee Oklepo.

And in August, Kendall Jenner snapped a photo from a trip to Capri with basketball player Devin Booker. The romantic images show a model posing on a boat sailing along the Amalfi Coast. The pair were spotted in Portofino this week as the upcoming celebrations get underway at the Kardashian-Barker wedding. On Friday, they were spotted kissing and basking in the Italian sun.
