Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Daniline Birkhead, 15, takes a color photo with Larry's dad in the Kentucky Derby

Against all odds, Rich Strike's horse and jockey Sonny Leon emerged victorious in Saturday's 148th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

The late Anna Nicole Smith's 15-year-old daughter dressed for the event, wearing a vibrant and colorful Celia B gown with Betsey Johnson shoes. Danilin and his dad Larry Burkhead snap a cute photo together, as seen on the page with the father-daughter couple on Instagram.

"I bet to have fun with Dannielynn today at @kentuckyderby concert then @janetjackson this year!" wrote Larry, 49. She also included a retrospective of Smith, adding the caption, "I saw this photo of Anna and thought Danilin looked like her twin sister!"

Danilin and Larry attend the Kentucky Derby every year. The annual horse race is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, on the first Saturday in May, and this year it was won by Rich Strike Horse.

Before the event, the couple attended the 33rd Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Night Gala on Friday night. Danielle channeled her inner Janet Jackson there as she wore the same outfit that 55-year-old Jackson wore to the same event nearly two decades ago.

Noting that his ensemble was "bought for charity as part of @juliens_auctions Janet," Larry continued, "Ironically, Janet is expected tonight."

Chris Barnstable-Brown, one of the event's organizers, previously told the news that Danilin "looked amazing" while paying tribute to Jackson. "He got huge," he added of the teenager. "He is almost like tall as his father now," Larry revealed in an Instagram post that the clothes that Danilin had worn belonged to the singer Escapade.

"Heading to the Barnstable-Brown Gala with Danilin," the photographer wrote a series of releases before revealing his daughter's outfit was the same as Jackson's in 2003.
