Ariel Winter decided to move from Los Angeles to pursue a quieter life at least one of those flashes of paparazzi light bulbs.
The 24-year-old Modern Family alum appears on the Quitters podcastco-hosted by her onscreen mom Julie Bowen to discuss why LA isn't the right place to settle down.
"Part of the reason I've always hated LA is that the paparazzi followed me for a long time," she said. "And I don't like being robbed.
"I don't like my photos unless I sign up for mine. So I wouldn't say I like being watched. I've always wanted to live very, very everyday life, have a normal life. Winter added that life in LA is one he hopes will always be on display, and it seems like the photos go everywhere you go.
Finally, he gave in to the urge to leave. Winter and her boyfriend, Luke Benward, packed up, sold their house and moved their dog to an undiscovered location.
"People are always like, 'You don't like LA, why don't you just move?' Then I happened to see it and decided, why not?" he said, driving, took my house to the market, and we sold the house."
