Food Network star Bobby Flay and writer Christina Perez first announced their relationship at the Breeders' Cup World Cup in November 2021.

Bobby Flay and his girlfriend Christina Perez are going to the competition!

The two traveled to Louisville on the Saturday before the Kentucky Derby and walked through town, according to Perez's Instagram Story. On Thursday, Perez began documenting his journey, including several art exhibitions at the 21c Museum Hotel, a contemporary art hotel, and museum.

In one video, he kisses Flay on the cheek, and they pose together in front of the installation "Rain" by artists Camille Utterback and Romi Action. He also shared a Porsche Manson installation video called The Garden, a room filled with floral prints, fake flowers, stuffed animals, and other quirky things. But, of course, the couple is also on a culinary tour of Kentucky. In one video, the Food Network star eats some honey pecans. "Louisville delicacy," Perez wrote in the video.

For dinner, the couple headed to Barn8 Restaurant, a converted warehouse at Heritage Farm in Goshen, Kentucky, that serves farm produce. At the restaurant, Perez only gave fans a glimpse of what they ordered for the table. A photo shared on his Instagram Story shows a dish of black hummus, which combines black sesame and nigella tahini with ricotta and is served with vegetables and crackers for dipping, and beef jerky with peppers.

The 148th Kentucky Derby kicks off Saturday, May 7 at 6:57 p.m. EST, one of 15 live races televised from Churchill Downs this weekend. The first Triple Crown race, the Kentucky Derby, was followed by the Preakness Stakes on Saturday, May 21, and the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 11.

The two-minute race has evolved into a splendid spectacle over the years as thousands of fans flock to the star-studded event in the most colorful of Southern chic outfits and ornate hats.

This is not the first horse event that Flay and Perez have attended. Introduced by mutual friends, Flay, 57, and Perez, 40, announced their relationship for the first time at the 2021 World Breeders Cup in November, where Pizza pony Bianca Flay took first place.
