Actress Catherine Kelly Lang is recovering from surgery after suffering a severe injury while riding a horse.

The 60-year-old "Brave and Beautiful" star revealed in a series of videos and photos on Instagram that she sprained her ankle and foot on Mother's Day.

Lang shared a video of himself and the other horses riding a trail surrounded by mountains on Monday and wrote, "Hope you all have a great Mother's Day today. what are you doing for Mother's Day? I started yesterday with friends on a pleasant trip. "

She added that he intends to ride 40 miles to prepare for the 50-mile equestrian race scheduled for next month.

"It was a beautiful day! About 16 miles from my horse, I set out on a steep and very rocky road to give him a break.
