China's Miracle: First Cloning of Endangered Arctic Wolf

Regarding this research, China said that in 2020, we started a research collaboration with Herban Polarland on arctic wolf cloning to save endangered animals. After nearly two years of extensive work, an arctic wolf has finally been cloned.

In these circumstances, China has created a wolf by cloning an arctic wolf for the first time. This wolf cub is now 100 days old and is currently the talk of the world for the revolution China has created in animal cloning. Experts say that after the successful birth of wolf cubs through cloning, now the world will get great success in maintaining the stability of rare and endangered animals with the help of cloning technology.

Regarding this research, China said that in 2020, we started a research collaboration with Herban Polarland on arctic wolf cloning to save endangered animals. After nearly two years of extensive work, an arctic wolf has finally been cloned. Mi Jidong, general manager of Beijing-based Sinogen Biotechnology Co Ltd, said this is the first case in the whole world.

The first cloned arctic wolf is a milestone for the implementation of cloning technology, an extraordinary breakthrough in the conservation of endangered species and biodiversity.

The wolf, born on 10th June, is named Maya and is perfectly healthy. Her donor cells came from a skin sample from a female arctic bear introduced to Herbin Polarland from Canada. Zhou Jianping, the company's deputy general manager, said his Oxyt was a female dog and her surrogate mother was a beagle.

Of course, 137 new embryos were created by cloning this wolf. As many as 85 embryos were transferred into seven Beagle dog embryos. Only one of these embryos was able to develop.
