Deborah James thanks her husband Sebastian Bowen after moving to hospital
"Together we seem to be able to shake hands, hold back tears and laugh," James said on Instagram Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the British radio presenter, 40, captioned her husband - with whom she shares 14-year-old son Hugo and 12-year-old daughter Eloise - in an Instagram post, along with a photo of "a complete rock" amid her battle with colon cancer, the couple smiled at the RHS Garden Wisley in England.
"Seb sent me (small mission but worth it!) to @rhswisley at dawn in front of everyone to say we [sic] were ready to publish the book and it was perfect for an hour," he said of the results. . The BBC presenter also revealed that she "didn't leave the house for 10 days because [I was] too weak," adding that after her trip she plans to "spend most of the day [in the sun like a cat!)" to fall asleep to the park.
"I love this image which reminds me of the vibrant green life around me despite the sadness of knowing the state of my body inside of me," she wrote. "But Seb is a rock to me and together we seem to be able to shake hands, hold back tears and laugh instead." James also thanked his supporters for purchasing their upcoming book How to Live When You Can Be Dead, which is out on August 18th.
"I am amazed and very grateful for the pre-release response to this book and the many of you who have kindly ordered it," he said. "Not only to contribute to the @bowelbabefund, but to make it the #1 bestseller on Amazon." "Writing a bestseller has always been my staggering dream," he added. !!I just missed my first book so I may never know about this book but I'm sure I will celebrate it somewhere!!"
James was honored on Thursday, according to a statement from Prime Minister Boris Johnson's office. Johnson also praised James when sharing the news on Twitter.
