Dragon's bet: China calls on its scientists from the US to design advanced drones
China has begun
recalling scientists of Chinese origin working in US secret defense projects,
prestigious universities and colleges. In 2021, 1415 Chinese scientists returned home from America.
However, 1162 scientists returned
in 2020. The Chinese Communist
government called it a talent program to recruit scientists.
According to a secret
report, 154 scientists who
returned to China worked at the Los Alamos Institute, which managed a secret
weapons program in the United States. America's nuclear program runs at Los
Alamos. Now these scientists have tasked China to develop advanced drones and
missiles for it. China has increased its arms exports to several countries in
Africa, including Middle East Asia, by 25 percent in the past two years.
Chinese government's
secret campaign for talent transfer
According to a secret
US report, China has conducted a secret campaign for talent transfer. Under it,
the Chinese communist government secretly sends money to some scientists
working in America. At the same time, China keeps scientists working in America
on high salaries after they come back. This scientist resides under the Ministry of Defence.
US spends, China
benefits: FBI
FBI Director
Christopher Wray says the US government pays for the salaries of Chinese
scientists doing research at institutions here. Many Chinese scientists secretly
send the information here to China or even return to China. The FBI arrested 5 Chinese scientists
in Los Alamos in the past few days.
Chinese drones are in
high demand in the arm market
Drones have the
highest demand in arms markets worldwide. Other countries also supply the
market for fighter jets, missiles, tanks and assault rifles. China has the most
upgraded WJ-700 drone. The drone,
capable of carrying a 3.5-ton warhead, was demonstrated by China this year.
China has also started booking for its exports.
