Gigi Hadid celebrates ex-Zane Malik on Father's Day with a rare photo of herself and daughter Kai

Gigi Hadid and Zane Malik welcomed daughter Kai, their first child together in September 2020.

The 27-year-old supermodel honored the former One Direction member with a sweet post on her Instagram Story on Sunday to mark her holiday.

After paying homage to her father, Mohammed Hadid, who she called her "sweet grandma," Gigi shared a photo of Malik, 29, and the couple's 21-month-old daughter Kai, whom Malik affectionately refers to as "Kai's grandmother."

In the photo, the father-daughter couple is having fun playing together and making art with a significant marker.

"Our little girl is here, healthy also beautiful," Malik wrote on Twitter at the time. "To describe how I feel right now would be an impossible task. The love I have for this little man is beyond my comprehension. I am grateful to have known him, proud to call him mine, and grateful for our life together." Gigi also announced the birth of their baby in a statement on social media, sharing a black and white photo of Malik and his daughter holding hands.

"Our girl joined us on Earth this weekend, and she has changed our world. So so fell in love," he wrote. Gigi's Father's Day tribute comes months after Malik was charged with four counts of obscenity following the September 2021 incident involving the star's mother, Yolanda Hadid.

Allegedly Malik "captured [Yolanda] and pushed her into a closet, causing mental and physical pain," according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. However, Malik "firmly denied" hitting him, telling TMZ in a statement, "I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false accusations and move forward to resolve this family matter privately."
