Guaynaa Nearly Proposes to Lele Pons in Photos

In an Instagram post, rapper Guaynaa can be seen proposing to YouTuber and singer Lele Pons or, at least, that's what she expected.

Guaynaa gets down on 1 knee while holding Pons' hand in a viral post on both parties' Instagram accounts. She has her other hand over her mouth as if in shock, but Guaynaa just needed to tie his shoe. In the final shot, he kisses the cheek of an unimpressed Pons. The couple first announced their relationship on Instagram in December 2020.

Though the couple only came forward about being a couple in December 2020, rumors circulated for a some months following the release of the duet "Se Te Nota," which translates to "You Notice" in English.

The two announced in August 2021 that they had purchased a home together. According to Hola!, Pons shared a few more shots of the house's interior on her Instagram stories, indicating that there was still some remodeling and construction to come.

The joke posted on Monday is similar to a fake proposal seen recently at a Vancouver Canucks hockey game, in which a man pretends to be his apparent girlfriend by kneeling, only to emerge with a cup of beer to chug. The same couple, or at least a couple that looks suspiciously similar to them, appeared in another Kiss Cam prank the month before, in which the man kisses the woman, only for another man to sit down next to her soon after.

While proposal pranks like this can be amusing, accurate proposals don't always go as planned. For example, in a viral TikTok video, a man prepared to propose to his girlfriend while on a nature hike. The two are crossing a stream in the video, but the man silently knelt and presented her with a ring behind her. Sadly, she didn't notice and continued walking until she was out of frame. She eventually realized her boyfriend wasn't with her and exclaimed, "What?!?" near the end of the video.
