Elon Musk recently announced his decision to buy the microblogging site Twitter for $44 billion.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is known to cause quite a stir with his tweets, caused quite a stir today with a post describing his death under "mysterious circumstances."
The statement also claimed that the equipment was delivered to Ukraine from the Pentagon, the US Department of Defense headquarters.
Both releases fueled speculation about whether Tesla's CEO had faced threats from Russia to help Ukraine during the war.
In February, Musk's satellite-based broadband service, SpaceX Starlink, was activated in Ukraine after a minister from the war-torn country spoke.
Tweets about the deaths under mysterious circumstances drew reactions ranging from jokes to warnings to solidarity.
Some users asked if Musk was drunk, others said he was worried about high taxes, and some said he needed to live to make "reforms."
In recent months, Musk has consistently made headlines by criticizing Twitter for shrinking the space for free speech, then refusing to join his board at the last minute, and then announcing his decision to leave it at a considerable price to buy.
After the announcement, he irritated radical ideas for microblogging sites, including introducing fees for commercial and government users. "If I died mysteriously, nice to know you," Musk tweeted about a week after announcing his decision to buy microblogging site Twitter for $44 billion.
Shortly before that, Musk shared what appeared to be a post saying he was involved in "supplying fascist forces in Ukraine with military communications equipment." "And for that, Elon, you will be held accountable as an adult - no matter how much you play dumb," the publication added.
