"I'm quite a shy person. That's one of the great things about Britain and Somerset in particular. I can be myself and that's okay," said Johnny Depp.
Johnny Depp recently spoke about living peacefully in the English countryside after winning a libel case against Amber Heard. The actor said Brits treat him like a neighbor and he likes to live away from the public eye in Somerset.
Speaking to Somerset Life, a local magazine, Depp said: "The Brits are great and will welcome you as neighbors without going overboard. I don't care if people want an autograph or a chat, but not when I'm spending time with my family.Honestly I'm quite a shy person.This is one of the great assets of Britain and Somerset in particular. I can just be myself and that's fine. The house is said to have 12 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The manor house, which Somerset Life calls 'The Grand Palace', sits on 850 acres of grounds and is surrounded by enclosed gardens.
Earlier this month, Depp was spotted by antique lovers in Lincolnshire, a county in east England. Robert Miller, owner of Hemswell Antiques Centres, told PA Media he's bought a number of rather unusual items; a desk chair, guitars, paint sets, easels, various paintings, posters and lots of decorative items.
