The pandemic is far from over. Hollywood's A-list is still affected by COVID-19 in 2022, as it was in 2020 and 2021, but they attribute their quick recoveries to vaccines.

In January, Late Night With Seth Meyers yielded from its holiday break for one show before abruptly going on hiatus due to the prevalence of the omicron variant.

"The bad information is that I tested positive for COVID-19 (thank you, 2022!)." "The good news is that I'm fine (thanks to vaccines and booster!)," Seth Meyers tweeted on January 4. "We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so song in next Monday to see where we'll try next."

Meyers' fellow late-night news host Jimmy Fallon revealed the day before that he had recently recovered from COVID-19. However, before returning to The Tonight Show, Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 3, the Saturday Night Live alum made it clear that he had tested negative.

"Hey guys, I tested positive for Covid on the first day of our holiday break," he captioned an Instagram photo of himself masked in a room labeled "reserved for testing use."

"I was vaccinated and bolstered, so I was fortunate only to have mild symptoms," he resumed. Thank you to the doctors also nurses who work tirelessly around the clock to ensure that everyone is immunized.

Both news anchors advocated for vaccination. As of January, the CDC advised people over the age of 16 to get a booster shot five months after finishing the primary series. Meyers and Fallon both received a booster shot before testing positive.

Similarly, during the spread of the highly contagious variant, Whoopi Goldberg had a breakthrough case. Joy Behar, her co-host on The View, announced the news on January 3 and stated that the Sister Act star would fully recover within a week.

"What brings me here instead of Whoopi?" "Unfortunately, Whoopi tested positive during the break, but she'll be back probably next week," Behar explained. "Since she's been vaccinated and boosted, her symptoms have been extremely mild." But here at The View, we're being extremely cautious."
