Young women: Atlanta star Shirley "Mrs. Juicy" Pearson is in hospital, his team announced on Instagram on Friday. "At this point, Ms. Jussie is stabilized in intensive care," the 50-year-old reality star said in a statement posted to Pearson's account.
He concluded: "Please keep Mrs. Jussie in your prayers. We will notify you of any changes."
The statement did not explain why he was hospitalized. A Pearson spokesperson told News that there were no further details to add.
Industry insiders told TMZ that Pearson had prioritized his health through exercise and healthy eating for the past two years. Pearson was a guest star for the debut season of the reality series Lifetime when it premiered in 2016. He was later promoted to a full-time constellation in season two to the final season six, premiered in early 2021.
Season six began with players paying tribute to former star Ashley "Mini" Ross, who died in a tragic car crash in April 2020.
In news's exclusive 1st look at the premiere episode, a group of women discusses their late cast members in a unique introduction to the attack. "So much has changed since we started shooting the Little Women: Atlanta season," Pearson began.
"We lost our sister Minnie in a tragic accident, and our lives will never be the same again," Tiffany told Moni Cachet.
"Our hearts are broken," added Amanda Salinas. "We want to give our respects to him." Addressing their audience, Abira Green and Andrea Salinas continued: "We hope you can follow our journey this season as we take on this difficult challenge together."
"And celebrate the friendship and brotherhood we have developed with Minnie," concluded Moni.
At the end of the tribute, the six cast members shared their love for Minnie and said in unison, "We love you, Minnie." The reality show star was in a car accident on April 26, 2020, and was later pronounced dead at 34.
