NATO countries have increased aid to Ukraine following the Russian attack.
NATO countries have increased aid to Ukraine following the
Russian attack. Ukraine has said it has received the Iris T SLM air defense system
from Germany. It has four systems.
It is being claimed that this is a sophisticated air defense system, which has not yet been used. It dodges missiles to avoid attacking aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles or rockets.
A medium sized city can be
protected with such a system. The SLM can target any target up to 20 km
altitude and 40 km range.
This system could play an important role in thwarting a
Russian attack. Before this, a meeting of defense officials of 50 countries was
also held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, in which there was a discussion
about giving air defense system to Ukraine.
Zaporizhzhya plant faced second power cut in 5 days
Ukraine's Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant has lost power
for the second time in five days due to a Russian attack. This has been done in
view of the threat to the diesel plant that keeps the plant cool. On the other
hand, Russia has said that it is ready to start gas supply through Nord
Stream-2. The case is before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
