Britain: Who will be PM?: Sage-supporting MPs cross 100, Boris at half
Indian-origin Rishi Sunak is leading the race for Britain's new Prime Minister.
He has secured the necessary support of 100 MPs from the Conservative Party to contest for the post of PM. 110 MPs have supported Sunak on Saturday. Second is former PM Johnson.
Johnson is currently on holiday and returned to London on Saturday.
Surge in support: Sunak was supported by 82 MPs late on Friday while Johnson was backed by 41. The number of pro-Trump MPs is growing faster than that of Johnson.
Bookies' choice: Sunak is the bookies' first choice as PM. Bookies put his chance of becoming PM at 60 per cent compared to Boris's at 35 per cent.
Penny Factor: A contender penny mordant has the least support potential. They can bring a new twist to the encounter by supporting Johnson or Rishi.
Sage endorsement of Boris Johnson's special Frost
Boris Johnson's special assistant David Frost has endorsed Rishi Sunak's candidacy.
Frost was the chief negotiator of Johnson's Brexit deal in 2019. Frost said Johnson should not be sued. Sunak will prove to be a good Prime Minister.
