The new season of the hit Netflix series debuted on May 27, and the actress told news that "its scope is beyond this world."
Nearly three years have given since the debut of the new season of Stranger Things, but star Sadie Sink promises that the upcoming fourth installment will pull all the stops.
"This is the weirdest season we've ever had," Sink, 20, told news. It's just that it's bigger than this world.
The Season 4 trailer features Sink's character, Max Mayfield, mourning the loss of Billy Hargrove - who was killed by the Mind Destroyer in Season 3 - and wandering his grave. He also introduces an evil new villain.
"I can't comment on hovering," said Sink. "But this is a wild episode." As for the spooky new villain, Sink called it "very scary."
"We got to explore many different themes and different sides of the character that everyone knows and loves, so I'm looking forward to it," said the fourth season actress.
While Sink can't say much more about the upcoming episodes, he can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the series finally has a release date after all these years.
"It's coming!" said Sink excitedly. In February, Netflix announced that the sci-fi drama's fifth season would be final. However, Sink said he wasn't ready to say goodbye yet.
"I'd be gone forever if they wanted to," he said. "At this point, we have built a family, and it is an extraordinary and unique relationship. I will miss all of them." The actress also thanked the fans who stayed together during the trip.
"It's crazy to think how long we've been doing this," he said. "We're so grateful we still have people who want to see it."
Season 4 of Stranger Things debuts on Netflix on May 27.
