Last week, Tommy Hilfiger launched the Summer 2022 "Classics Reborn" global campaign, directed by Craig McDean, and approached Sean Mendes to model the collection of the 1985 program.
Sean Mendes wasn't "born in the United States," but his recent looks might convince you otherwise.
In a promotional video for Tommy Hilfiger's new fashion campaign Classics Reborn, the 23-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter performs an energetic cover of Bruce Springsteen's 1984 hit, "Dancing in the Dark."
"I wake up at night / And I have nothing to say / I come home in the morning / I go to bed the same way / I'm just tired / Gosh, I'm just tired and bored with myself / Hey baby, I just need a little help," Mendes sings in the ad, which also notes the When You're Gone singer running shirtless across the field.
"You can't light a fire / You can't light a fire without a spark / This gun is for rent / Even if we just dance in the dark."

Posing on a barren field, she wore a sexy classic American look, including a half-breasted tee and low-rise jeans that exposed the waist of her Tommy Hilfiger lingerie. He even showed off his toned abs in one photo when he was photographed wearing makeup.
The campaign, launched on May 16, is the first initiative and part of an ongoing partnership between Mendes and the Play it Forward brand.
"I've always been inspired by Tommy and the iconic brand he built, and I look forward to sharing our journey with my fans," Mendes, 23, said. "Everyone has a role to play in shaping a more sustainable future, and I am inspired to see what we can achieve."
