Sharon Stone has had nine miscarriages, she said.
"We women don't have a forum to discuss the depths of this loss," Sharon Stone said in a post on news Instagram.
Earlier this week, the 64-year-old actress commented on an Instagram post on PEOPLE, including an exclusive interview with Peta Murgatroid, who recently opened up about losing her pregnancy while her husband Max Chmerkovskiy was in Ukraine.
"We women don't have a forum to discuss the depths of this loss. I lost nine children to miscarriage," said Stone, the mother of three sons by adoption: Quinn Kelly, Laird Vonne, and Roan Joseph.
"It's not small, physically or emotionally, but we must endure it ourselves and quietly with a sense of failure."
He continued, "Instead of receiving the compassion, empathy, and healing we desperately need, which we desperately need. The health and well-being of women, left in the care of male ideology, has become weak, even ignorant, and brutally oppressive. In her exclusive chat with PEOPLE, 35-year-old Margatroyd opened up about her recent miscarriage for the first time. She remembers lying in a hospital bed for hours after her 5-year-old son, Shai, witnessed her being taken to an ambulance. She called for help after finding himself on the floor in his son's bedroom, unable to move after having tested positive for the coronavirus a few days earlier.
"I don't have the energy. I can't open the dishwasher. I can't open the fridge to feed Shai toast," says the pro. "It got so bad that my breath started to hurt. It was dramatic."
At the hospital, Murgatroyd called her husband, who lives thousands of miles away in Ukraine, and put on the speakerphone as the doctor entered his room.
