Students are protesting for right to education
The controversy erupted on October 30 at Badakhshan University in eastern Afghanistan, when girls who did not wear the veil were kicked out of classrooms by the administration. After which the students started protesting about the right to education.

The students were admitted to the university in February
On 15 August 2021, the Taliban captured Kabul, Rajghani, Afghanistan. In May 2021, the Taliban regained power in Kabul 20 years after the US military withdrew. However, in February 2022, the government agreed on rules for girls going to college.
