Tom Cruise reveals Mission: Impossible 7 trailer and official CinemaCon title

Paramount Pictures has revealed the title Mission: Impossible 7 Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, the first part.

During a presentation at CinemaCon on Thursday, Paramount Pictures revealed the title of the seventh film in the blockbuster franchise, Mission: Impossible - Dead Read, Part One.

Cruz reprises his role as super spy Ethan Hunt in the action film, which starts in 2023.

Although 59-year-old Cruz was not physically present at CinemaCon, the annual gathering of movie theater owners from around the world held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, he was part of a three-hour presentation at Paramount Pictures, where he unveiled the film's title and plot. Full trailers.

"Your days of fighting for the so-called greater good are over. This is our chance to control the truth," Henry Cavill, as CIA agent August Walker says in Hunt's trailer, adding, "You're fighting to save a deal that doesn't 'no.' there was. There never was. You have to choose a country."

The trailer promises a lot of romp and danger with Vanessa Kirby back in action.

The footage ends with Cruise's fatal motorcycle stunt for the seventh part, revealed at CinemaCon in 2021. As PEOPLE previously reported, Cruz rides the motorcycle off a cliff in the sequence in which hairs lift.

The Mission: Impossible saga is based on the popular TV series of the same name, and the seventh iteration of the hit film series follows Cruise Hunt as he goes on other missions.

Previously, in January 2019, Cruz announced that the seventh and eighth Mission: Impossible films would be shot, respectively, with both movies written and directed by Christopher Macquarie.

The film premieres on July 14, 2023.
