Twitter loses three more senior officials before dealing with Musk

The social media company also said it would cut most rents and electricity bills.


News confirmed that three more senior officials left Twitter ahead of Elon Musk's expected takeover on Tuesday.

Ilya Brown, Vice PM of Product Management; Katrina Lane, Vice President of Twitter; and Max Schmeiser, Head of Data Science, left the company.

After chief consumer Kaiwon Bakepour and revenue product manager Bruce Falk said, they were leaving the company, the departures. Baker said it was not his decision to leave Twitter in a series of tweets. The social media company also said it would cut most rents and electricity bills.

A Twitter spokesperson said the three left the company to pursue new opportunities. Bloomberg was the first to announce the exit. Twitter accepted Musk's offer on April 25 to buy the company for $54.20 per share. Musk told the bank that as he raised money for the deal, he would cut executive and board salaries and encourage the company to cut other costs, Reuters reported.
