Victoria Beckham Says Being 'Thin' Is 'Ancient', Discusses New Journey With Health And Wellness

Victoria Beckham is open about how she thinks beauty standards have changed.

"Today's women want to look healthy and curly," said Victoria Beckham, who also shared her newfound love of weightlifting.

In a new interview with Grazia, the 48-year-old revealed his views on his new body image and fitness journey. The singer-turned-designer says being "thin" is no longer what most women want.

"That's an old-fashioned attitude, you want to be really skinny. I think women today need to look healthy and curly. They want to have small breasts and ass," she told the publication, noting that she personally wants it to be "as good as" as much as I can.

Beckham recalled a recent trip to Florida where he saw another woman hugging her curves in hopes that one day her daughter Harper might do the same. Along with 10-year-old Harper, Beckham is also the mother of Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 17, with husband David Beckham.

"There's a lot of curly-haired women in Miami and they really have them, you know?" he said. "You walk around the beach in Miami without a lot of clothes on and you look amazing.

They flaunt their bodies with such confidence. I find her attitude and style really liberating. And as a mom, I love Harper being surrounded by women who really love it." really celebrate their curves also enjoy how they look."

Beckham says that as he gets older, he finds balance in his health and fitness journey and knows what works for him.

"It's not about a certain size," he explained. "It is about knowing who you are also being happy with who you are. I've found my own balance between wanting to have fun and the discipline to eat healthy and exercise. When you're younger, you fight that balance."

The mother-of-four told the publication that changing her fitness routine from "tons of cardio" to lifting weights 5 or six days a week with her husband and personal trainer has worked for her, which makes her proud of her body.

"I've always been a little scared of weights, but I found myself loving it," she explains. "I even have these special gloves to wear! It's good to change things up and let your body guess. Now I have more muscle."
