The connection is evident at the Legend's Love show in Las Vegas
John Legend's LVE Wines is part of his Las Vegas residency, Love in Las Vegas, and "is deeply integrated into everything we do," said the singer, who recently partnered with LG Signature.
The 12-time Grammy winner recently spoke to news about the partnership between LVE Wines and LG Signature, his wife Chrissy Teigen's favorite recipe, and the tradition of giving sweet gifts to their children.
In April, the 43-year-old Legend, who began his Las Vegas residency, Love in Las Vegas, launched Raymond Vineyards LVE Wines, a wine line in the Napa Valley 2015.
"I wanted to make my wine and work with great winemakers," says the news musician. "We found Jean-Charles Boisset through family friends, and when they introduced us, we hit it off right away."
According to Legend, music is an integral part of winemaking. "We mingled [at Raymond Vineyards], and I played many songs there. I've always felt that music and wine need to be integrated, even into our creative process." But wine is also an essential element in the songwriting and recording process. "We will drink while in my studio. I think there is a connection and mutual inspiration between wine and music," said the father of two.
"My fans always tell me that my music and wine are good, and I agree," he added. "We wanted to make that relationship clearer."
The connection is evident at the Legend's Love show in Las Vegas and other concerts that offer special packages offering fans LVE wine. "It's deeply integrated into everything we do," Legend said.
When Legend isn't working on his music or wine collection, he and Teigen, 36, look forward to entertaining friends and family. "I love to cook, and we love entertaining people," said the singer, who added that his wife had a particular favorite dish she prepared. "Chrissy likes it when I make fried chicken. We had a screening of her new documentary series, The Way Down, at our house, and that morning she said, "John, can you make fried chicken for everyone?"
